Omnicane was launched in July 2009 through a strategic re-branding of Mon-Trésor-Mon-Desert Ltd, a long established sugarcane group in Mauritius whose origins can be traced back to the 1850’s. The Group now produces 40% of Mauritius’ exported refined sugar and supplies around 28% of the electricity needs of Mauritius.
